Subject:Trading with Cyprus at Birmingham

Cyprus and the Midlands share the same business vision to reach fineness in financial services and excel in sectors such as health, education, trade, real estate and many more. The ‘Trading with Cyprus’ event was organised by the Greater Birmingham Commonwealth Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Commercial Section of the Cyprus High Commission in London to enhance the business ties between the two jurisdictions and explore ways of future cooperation.

The participants had the opportunity to get a complete insight and overview of trading and doing business with Cyprus by Mr Costas Dafos, Commercial Attaché of the Cyprus High Commission in London, who also highlighted investment opportunities in various fields.

During the event, Mr Peter Mathews, CMG, Chairman of Black Country Metals Trading Ltd shared his valuable experiences of his company working closely with Cypriot counterparts for more than three decades to further develop the recycling industry on the island.

The Cyprus Trade Centre in London operates under the auspices of the Cyprus Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry as the economic and commercial section of the Cyprus High Commission in the United Kingdom. It is one of the thirteen export promotion missions of the Republic of Cyprus abroad.
